Cynthia has a long commitment to her community in West Tennessee. She was the chair of the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Road Race for a decade. She served for several years on the board of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce. For about five years, she utilized her expertise in aviation security to support the Humboldt Municipal Airport Board. Internationally, she presented at multiple conferences in Europe and Asia on trade and customs issues.
Cynthia was born and raised in West Tennessee, calling Humboldt home for most of her life. With an office in Medina, and living in Milan, she covers Gibson County daily in her personal and professional life.
She was a delegate to the World Customs Organization in Brussels and active in the Express Association of America on regulatory issues. Cynthia spent a month in Warsaw, Poland assisting a non-profit agency with their mission of training physically and mentally challenged adults and successfully placing them in the workforce. She served as a board member for the West Tennessee Council of the Boy Scouts of America for five years.
In 2019, she was a finalist for the Memphis Business Journal Best-of-the-Best in the in-house counsel division. Cynthia is a licensed US Customs Broker. She is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas, and was previously licensed in Pennsylvania as well. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga in 1996 and a Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 1999.
